There will be so much joy possible to you when your body, mind, and spirit all aligned and harmonized. Body, mind, and spirit exist independently, but they are all interconnected. These forces exist within you, and when they are balanced, you are balanced.

You may speed up your healing by engaging all of these components of yourself. Body, mind, and spirit all have complexities and sub-meanings, and every practice and philosophy I've ever studied-yoga, meditation, Reiki, chakras-all entail balancing each of these elements.

Depending on where you feel you need to start, each part of this triad might be your focus for healing. You will gain health if you concentrate on your body. If you concentrate on your mind, you will be able to connect with your sense of purpose. Focusing on your spirit will open you up to receiving support and love as part of relationships, trusting life, and establishing your community. Each of them will help to nourish the others. You can't be successful in one without being successful in the others. These three fundamental human needs, health, purpose, and community, as they manifest in your body, mind, and spirit, bind us all together.

Recognize your ability to heal. Even if you have a chronic condition or a serious health problem, working with body awareness and acceptance can help you better understand the condition in your body so that you can move into a state of acceptance, harmony, and love wherever you are on your journey. Examining what you came here to learn and giving yourself permission to love yourself and your body the whole way through is its own form of medicine. I know from personal experience and pain that this can be difficult, and I want you to know right now that every part of you is deserving of healing. You are far more powerful than you realize as a healer of your own body!
